The Kharee Shareef Death Committee is a community-driven, non-profit organization based in Hong Kong. We operate under a transparent and democratically elected leadership to ensure support and dignity during times of loss.
Executive Committee
- Overview
The Kharee Shareef Death Committee is governed by an Executive Committee comprising 6 to 10 members. The committee includes founding members (permanent) and elected members (renewable annually).
- Committee Responsibilities
Overseeing day-to-day operations
Managing finances and contributions
Making executive decisions
Organizing meetings and community events
Coordinating with external bodies during funeral arrangements

Monthly committee meetings
Special meetings upon request
AGM held within the first 6 months of each financial year
- Voting & Decisions
- 1/3 majority quorum required
- Simple majority rules
- President holds casting vote
- Meetings start with prayer, no political/sectarian discussions
Membership Types
Membership Types – We offer two types of memberships tailored to community needs.

Duties of Officers
President
- Leads meetings, oversees operations, has final decision authority
Vice President
- Assists and steps in for the President
General Secretary
- Maintains records, manages communication and meeting minutes
Finance Secretary
- Manages budget, finance reports, and compliance
